Product Description Of Basecoat High Performance Launching Grease
Balmerol Basecoat is a highly adherent under-coating fortified with high performance extreme pressure additives. Balmerol Basecoat contains synthetic plasticizing additives, thus avoids cracking of under-coat under pressure and sliding action generated during hauling. Balmerol Basecoat has exceptional resistance to change in consistency with temperature change. Balmerol Basecoat is fully compatible with Balmerol Slipcoat, which is applied over Balmerol Basecoat to reduce friction during launching / hauling of ships, rigs etc.

Before applying Balmerol Basecoat, ground ways for launching should be practically clean. Loose dirt, dusts or foreign particles generally decreases bonding strength of Balmerol Basecoat. For application, Balmerol Basecoat is melted preferably in a Kettle and applied on to the slideway channel in thin layers. Successive layers must be applied before the preceding layer is fully hardened. This ensures maximum bond strength for the system. For normal launching applications, about 6-8 mm film thickness is quite sufficient to carry load encountered in normal launching programme.
