Product Description Of Grease TC-Z-50 High Performance Zinc-Based Thread Compound As Per API Bulletin 7A1
Balmerol Grease TC-Z-50 is a zinc-based thread compound for oilfield drill pipes conforming to specifications laid out in API Bulletin 7A1. It has a special grease base which is highly resistant to water and prevents leakage at high temperatures. The compounded product provides optimum lubrication to prevent galling and seizing.
Balmerol Grease TC-Z-50 provides adequate protection against corrosion. It does not build up on thread and is brushable over a wide temperature range. Due to the special characteristics of its base grease and uniform suspension of metallic powder, Balmerol Grease TC-Z-50 offers excellent adhesion to tool joints. Balmerol Grease TC-Z-50 is fortified with special metal deactivators for chemical stability and reduction in plating tendency.
Applications / Recommendations Of Grease TC-Z-50
Balmerol Grease TC-Z-50 is recommended for tool / pipe / coupling joints, drill bits, drill collars and other rotary shouldered connections. Balmerol TC-Z-50 may be applied with the help of a brush in hot and cold weather.
