Product Description Of Ropelube 1000 High Performance Wire Rope Grease
Balmerol Ropelube 1000 is semi-fluid, tacky grease specially suited for in-service lubrication of wire ropes under varying services. It contains a performance enhancing additive combination to offer protection of individual wire strands against friction, wear, and corrosion. It is highly recommended for the in-service lubrication and corrosion protection of wire ropes continuously exposed to atmosphere and for wire ropes requiring protection against varying climatic and environmental condition. It is also suitable for the Auto Tensioning Devices used in OHE of Indian Railways.

Balmerol Ropelube 1000 provides the following benefits:
- It contains a highly water resistant soap base to provide excellent corrosion/rust, preventive characteristics.
- It is extremely tacky. Hence it does not sag out of the surfaces, adheres well on surface of the wire ropes and resists throw-off during the service of the wire rope to offer extended protection.
- Its semi-fluid nature makes it easy to apply on the wire rope by brush.
- It contains anti-frriction, anti-wear and solid lubricant additives to take care of the friction and wear encountered between individual strands of the wire rope.
- Due to its lower base oil viscosity it has the ability to penetrate between the individual strands and the inner core of the wire rope.
- Due to the presence of anti-corrosion additive it protects the wire strands and wire core as a whole against varying climatic conditions from rusting.
- Its operating temperature range is – 10 °C to + 80 °C.
Applications / Recommendations: Of Ropelube 1000
Balmerol Ropelube 1000 can be applied easily by a hand brush due to its semi-fluid nature. It can be applied during the production of wire ropes by passing the wire strands through a bath containing the grease at ambient temperature. However the grease should never be heated during application. The frequency of application needs to be established depending on the level of protection required.
